About US

It's not good enough to hire "a" mediator ... you need a mediator with a deep understanding of the law, a drive for fairness and equitable division, and the compassion to work with you through the process.

Meet our principal mediator...

My Background

Education

I've always been driven and believe hard work is the only kind worth doing.  I supported myself through a college prep high school as well as college (Bachelor of Arts from Emory University as an English major).  I earned my Masters of Language Arts from Auburn University at Montgomery, shortly followed by my law degree (Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina).  I currently am an active member of the bar in the State of Georgia.

Certificates

In addition to ongoing specialized training on family law issues, I've been awarded the Super Lawyer designation by Thompson Reuters for the last seven years running, a designation for the highest rated lawyers across their specialized practice area.

Note: I am not licensed to practice law (nor is it required to excel as a mediator) in the State of New York, and do not provide legal advice as a mediator.

Specialization

When it comes to family law, my focus has always been to do what's right for the family ... paying special attention to the needs of the children.   This has served me well in my law practice, and has been exactly the right prescription for mediating a family's issues during one of the toughest times of their lives.

Who I Help

I help families, including those in the LGBTQIA+ community, to agree on a fair and equitable solution with a special focus on doing what's right for the children.

How I Do It

We will work together to identify all of the facts, clearly understand the desires of each side, and then work toward a fair resolution that everyone can get behind.

What's in It for You

You'll get acceptance from me, without judgment and my support of all parties as we work through the process.  I'll provide up-front information so you'll be ready for your mediation, and follow-up information to give you a clear path to filing your family law case yourselves.
